Entrusted With The Gospel – Disciple Support Ministries

One of the greatest Joys of being on the mission field is directly “seeing” and “hearing” the effect of God’s Word on the hearts and minds of the people. In the past two Semesters, we have studied, verse by verse, the books of 1st Samuel, Ezekiel, Revelation, 2nd Corinthians, Peter, and our one topical course on the Holy Spirit. In addition, every new student is required to take a semester long class in Inductive Bible Study Techniques. At the end each semester, the Pastors voluntarily provide their feedback. Candid testimonies from those on the ground...on the receiving end of this Ministry. We hope you will gain further insight into the Ministry and the eternal, yet ground level, effect of this Discipleship Ministry on the “Pastors of the Least”. What part of the Program do you find most challenging?

Removing myself from the old wineskin of Legalism & a spirit of Religion
What the Bible says about marriage & purity
Inductive Bible Study techniques require dedicated time & perseverance
Leaving my slum in the dark & arriving home in the dark
My Bishop is still opposing me for attending the Bible School
Cleaning duties at the School have challenged my pride above all
Difficult Tests every month! I had not taken a test for 32 years!
We are expected to live up to what the Bible says. It is sobering.
The shame of having taught false doctrines for so many years
Attending a school with all tribes mixed together was difficult at first
The standard of timeliness & seriousness has challenged me

How did this Semester’s classes Help you or Change you?

My sexual immorality has been exposed, repented & removed!
I got married after living in sin for 23 years even as a Pastor
I now Teach the Word of God. I gave up Preaching my own nonsense
I was not born again until I came to this place
I never read the Old Testament before. I was told we are a NT church only
The false teachings & false prophets have been exposed in our churches
Holiness unto the Lord has replaced Church Planting as our focus
I have been delivered from my addiction to pornography
The spirit of Fear has been removed from our church
I have read the entire Bible twice already this year. I never had read it entirely once before
I can now teach the Bible with Peace. Because I truly understand it now
I was discipled in witchcraft since my youth. I have been set free, free, free!
Satan’s kingdom has been exposed. I now see it so clearly in my everyday life

What is the Single Most Significant Change in your CHURCH because of your participation in the Bible Institute?

We have no fear of Coronavirus. We have Fear of God instead
We have the courage to evangelize in spite of lockdowns
We no longer tithe by the law. We give by the Spirit of God
Attendance continues to grow because they are hearing something “new”
I was expelled from my own church once I started teaching out of the Bible
Our entire leadership team was replaced with true Men of God
The Prosperity Gospel has no home with us anymore!
Adults are memorizing Bible verses every week
Many left our churches because of the new Bible teachings
People are now arriving with pens and paper to take notes
We have had more marriages in one year than in the previous five

What specific teaching or instruction personally impacted YOU the most?

Marriage is a covenant before God and mankind
Men are called to lead spiritually and practically
Understanding what Servanthood means
The constant challenge to Holiness
Understanding “Context” is critical in every verse
To stop pressuring the congregation to give
Repentance requires Restitution
Distinguishing spirits from the Holy Spirit
Love requires me to practice Biblical Church Discipline
Work is a command from God. I am not to avoid it
Not to be swayed by pressure to grow my church
My unsaved husband was sinfully disrespected by me

This small sample of current testimonies is an indication of the eternal effect of planting God’s Word in people. It is not an easy ministry for any of us...neither supporters, students, nor staff. In the process of Persevering, let us continue with Praise and Thanksgiving to the Lord. It is from His goodness that we have been granted the opportunity to serve the Pastors of the Least. It is God’s Truth that we share; it is His provision that enables us; it is His favor that protects us...in this beautiful ministry of His Word and Discipleship of His Pastors and Ministry Leaders. One of my favorite verses perhaps best summarizes this Ministry...

“But as we have been approved by God to be Entrusted with the Gospel, even so We Speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.”
